  • 1 lb. fresh asparagus about 15 spears
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • ½ lemon juiced and zested
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cut the bottom part of the asparagus stems, about 1-2 inches.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
  • Add asparagus and cook for about 3-5 minutes depending on thickness of asparagus. Thicker asparagus may require longer cooking time.
  • Add garlic and continue to cook for about 1-2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add lemon juice and cook for another 30 seconds or so, then remove from heat.
  • Add lemon zest and toss to combine. Serve.
